Finding an affordable place to live in Fairfield County is a problem affecting more then just the poorest in our communities.  Today, the housing crisis in Fairfield County cuts across virtually all income levels and housing needs.  When even working families cannot find an affordable place to live, we all pay the price. 

 

Affordable housing and strong, vibrant neighborhoods are the building blocks of our communities.  The future of Fairfield County is becoming increasingly dependent (and constrained) by the lack of balance and diversity in our housing stock. Out of reach housing costs are causing businesses to relocate more traffic congestion, and hurting the quality of life for everyone. In Fairfield County affordable housing is everyone’s problem. You can help make a difference with three simple steps:

 

 

Educate – Learn More about the housing needs in your community and the real solutions that are available today.  Below are several links to learn more about affordable housing in Connecticut.

 

Advocate – for affordable housing.  Your voice can make a difference.  Call your federal, state and local representatives and tell them how important affordable housing is for you, your community, and the future of Connecticut.
